Colour Fun Run 2023 - Tickets are now on sale!
Friends of Wood End are hosting our first ever Colour Fun Run. It’s all about being outside and having fun so it’s up to you whether you want to walk, run or dance your way around the course. Just remember to wear a plain white t-shirt and a pair of sunglasses or goggles and come prepared to get covered in colour.
Local gym Davis Fitness has very kindly agreed to sponsor the event and will be leading us all in a warm-up prior to the race so make sure you arrive early to make the most of their expertise.
The event runs from 10am – 12pm (gates open at 9:30am). The KS1 race will start at 10am and KS2 will start at 10:45am. There will be food and other colourful racing goodies for sale, plus Davis fitness is currently running a special trial offer (https://www.davisfitness.co.uk/) and there will be chances to talk to them on the day about any fitness questions you may have.

- Tickets are £6 each and must be bought in advance.
- All children attending the Colour Fun Run event will need to be supervised by an adult.
- Anyone taking part in the race will need to buy a ticket.
- Friends and family who don’t attend Wood End School are welcome to buy a ticket and take part in the run too.
- It will be a cashless event – cards payments only.

At this year’s event we’re raising money for the school’s new Learning Hub. Last year’s Fun Run sponsorship raised an amazing £1,700 but this year we want to knock it out the park and raise £2,000 towards the new build. Wood End Glitter Ball returns for 2023
More anticipated than the return of Glastonbury (and expected to sell out just as quickly!) 2023 marks the return of the famous Wood End Ball, given a touch of sparkle this year to be named the 'Wood End Glitter Ball' and with a new venue - Aldwickbury Park Golf Club.
There will be a band, dancing, charity auction and a delicious 3 course meal included in the price which will be £80pp - a price held from 2019 - its a night not to be missed!
Tickets will go on sale on the PTA events website on April 21st so look out for how to sign up after the Easter break. In the meantime, organise your tables (seats 8-10), dust off your dancing shoes and get ready for an evening full of sparkle on Saturday 7th October!
Midnight on Saturday 1st July - Closing Date for Donor Tree Donations
Building on the Learning Hub is now well underway. The Summer Fair on 1st July will be your final chance to buy an engraved leaf for the donor tree. As well as helping with the cost of the new building, the donation will allow you to be a permanent part of the copper tree sculpture in the new building.
