Wood End School Outstanding Travel Plan Award 2025 - Congratulations!
image

We are absolutely thrilled to share some wonderful news with you! Our school has achieved an outstanding travel plan. It is acknowledgement of all the excellent work completed by our Eco council pupils led by Ms Logan and Miss Moore. Thank you to Shirley Clark our Sustainable Travel Officer from the Active and Safer Travel Team for guiding us on the completion of the evidence required to achieve this award.

Now, we would love to see our students becoming even more active on their way to school. We encourage everyone to walk, scoot or cycle whenever possible, making our journeys not only healthier but also a lot more fun!

We invite you, our parents/carers, to join in the excitement too! Consider the "Park and Stride" initiative—where you park a little further away from school and enjoy a delightful walk with your child - further details in the 'Parents Travel Code of Conduct' seen below . It’s a great way to keep active and bond together. Thank you for your continual support and commitment to making our school community a vibrant and healthy place to be!
