What is the PTA?
The PTA is a registered charity. Our main purpose is to raise funds for Wood End School. All parents and carers of children at Wood End School are automatically members of the PTA as are all the Staff.
We have a committee made up of Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Communications Officer, Treasurer and Compliance Officer. We also have a team of PTA Class Reps who represent the PTA in each year group and a wider team of volunteers who help organise activities and events.
How do we raise money?
We raise funds for the School by organising events, activities and services that parents and children might need or enjoy. These include; summer and Christmas fairs, children’s discos, quiz night and uniform sales.
What do we spend the money on?
Our aim is to use the money we raise to enrich and enhance our children’s learning and social experience at Wood End School. The sort of things that we have bought or contributed to over the last few years include: Books for the reading scheme, classroom refurbishment, playground equipment and ICT equipment.
How can you help?
There are lots of ways you can help us with our fundraising activities from simply coming along to support one of our events, helping out at an event, joining an event team or even volunteering as an Officer on our Committee. Roles are very varied so there really is a job to suit everyone. You can also come along to one of our regular meetings where we discuss fundraising ideas and how to spend our funds. We would love to hear your views and ideas!
Meetings start at 7:45pm and are held in the Staff Room, all are welcome. Agendas are available on request from: firstname.lastname@example.org
